PATIENT ALERT: Michigan Has Officially Started Taxing Recreational Marijuana At An Additional 24% For Retailers On Wholesale Transfers Since January 1st. Recreational cannabis is currently taxed at a combination of excise tax and state sales tax. As of January 1st, recreational cannabis is now taxed at 34% state tax plus the 6% sales tax. That means you can be taxed an additonal 40 cents for every dollar you spend on recreational products if you don't have a medical marijuana card.

Memorial Day Patient Picnic

We would like to thank everyone who came out to the First Natural Memorial Day Picnic. The event was a huge success and we helped United Patients First raise over $2100 to help low income patients get their medical marijuana card in West Michigan. We will be posting pictures of the events momentarily. Thank you to Dr. Williams for his support and encouragement for the compassion community. The compassion bear was on site to give free hugs and the food from MJ’s kitchen was very tasty. Thanks again to all of the supporters and for those who didn’t make it out, we hope to see you at the next compassion event! Stay tuned. Next month we will be teaching a class in cloning and personal growing.
